Resolution Up Date...

One year ago I had pledged, to myself, to do the following:

1. Floss Way More
2. Read a book a month

I am happy and proud to state I have accomplished both. I went to the dentist two weeks ago and although perhaps did not impressing my dentist with my oral between the teeth cleanliness I certainly did not disappoint him.

I also managed to read 16 books! The following list is a complete account of my reading for the past year:

Welcoming the Stranger (Immigration from a Christian perspective)
A Voice in the Wind (Christian fiction)
An Echo in the Darkness (Christian fiction)
A Million Miles and a Thousand Years (on Faith)
As Sure as the Dawn (Christian fiction)
Screwtape Letters (Spiritual warfare)
The Five Love Languages: Single Edition (Relationships)
My Life in France (Biography)
I was Told There Would be Cake (Short essay/ humor)
Something Blue (Fiction)
Writing Jane Austin (Fiction)
A Promising Man (Fiction)
Small Acts of Treachery (Fiction)
The Idiots Girls' Action-Adventure Club (Short essay/ fiction)
Three Cups of Tea (International development)
Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field (Fiction)

I started reading Tony Blair's book of political memoirs but am still 200 pages away from finishing it. Looking over my list, I have to say Im fairly pleased and impressed with the diversity. Well, diversity of sorts. I have read and am currently reading political themed books, I have read books on faith, love, humor, biography, immigration, international development and good old fictional love stories.

I have many more books piled next to my bed ready and waiting for me to delve into their pages and discover what truths, tragedy, humor and edification that can be taken from them.
