How do the quotes go…?

“God give the me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference”

oh and,

“What you preach loudest you need to learn most”

Well of late I feel as though I have pep-talked those around me, encouraging them to take action, be filled with hope and know that the future is unpredictable but exciting. That making plans for the future is good but that they should also not be set in stone because life changes unexpectedly. Well I find myself of late, being reminded of these vary things. I am once again looking for employment. The current firm I am at is downsizing leaving me with a part time job and not a full time career. So this is my opportunity to once again attempt to break into my field of choice. So once again I find myself scouring the Internet for NGOs, human rights organizations, Women’s rights groups and now with my minimal new skills family law firms, sending my resume to anyone I can find an email address for.

Although cautioned against it, I have wanted to move back to the city I spent four wonderful years of my undergraduate career. It would be a safe move, yes, but maybe safe is what I need right now. But realistically I shall move anywhere the job is. A scary prospect for a girl who has enjoyed the sanctuary of home and sought the nostalgia of her college days.

So once again I find myself in transit; waiting, searching, seeking and sitting in careful mediation of it all.
